Meet Mrs. Buscemi
My name is Terri Buscemi and I am the Math Specialist at the JL Mulready Elementary School.
The 2023 - 2024 school year is my 34th year teaching!
I started out in Lynn, MA, where I was born and raised. I taught Special Education, 2nd grade & 5th grade. When I got married and moved to Maynard, I left Lynn to work in Wilmington as the Elementary Math Coordinator for 5 years. I loved the job, but missed working with the students on a more regular basis. Luckily I found Hudson! I have loved my time here and look forward to a great year!
I am married and have a daughter, Aviva, who is in High School. We have 3 cats a bird and a dog!

Welcome back! I am ready for a great year!!
I am thrilled to be back in person with the students here at Mulready! I am looking forward to a great year, and some amazing mathemeticians.

I'll be there for you!

Part of my job as the math specialist here at Mulready is to be here to support all members of our Ohana - that means you too!
If you have questions, please email me at tabuscemi@hudson.k12.ma.us and I will do my best to help you and answer your questions.
This year one of the big focuses we have in math at Mulready is Guided Math. (See the blog post for more about this.) One big component of this is to have games, activities and materials for the teachers to use in their class - to support the concepts they are teaching, and to reinforce those they have already done. I could use some help in creating these. If you could cut out, glue, laminate if you have a personal laminator (I'll supply the sheets), or just put them together into envelopes please email me and I will reach out! I appreciate any help!

Time and
Money

When we were younger we had analog watches and would go to the store with cash. Now kids have clocks on their phones and who uses cash anymore?
Have your kids switch their phones to have analog clocks display and have them tell you the time using the analog clocks in your house.
If you change, have your kids name the coins, tell you the value, create different ways to get the same amount; how many ways can you make $1.00 with coins.
