5th Annual Math Olympics

Mrs. Buscemi

On a beautiful Wednesday afternoon, the 3rd grade students, along with teacher and 6 parents spent the afternoon outside doing math and having fun! The students started with a physical activity – hopping on one foot, frog hop, tight rope walking or skipping, to the math problems. They chose their question and solved it. The questions were worth 1, 2 or 3 points depending on the difficulty of the question. As well as answering the question, the teams got points based on the speed in which they finished.

Miss O’Brien’s class won the gold medal, Mrs. Hall’s class won the Silver medal and Mrs. Murphy’s class won the gold medal. We all had a great time!!!
